Yonaton Aronoff is a commercial litigator who has earned a reputation for aggressiveness, efficiency, and value. He is a zealous and creative advocate who thrives in high-stakes environments and who is not afraid to pursue a case to verdict. Mr. Aronoff’s clients value his logical advice, his proven efficiency, and his knack for finding practical, creative, value-driven solutions to complex problems.
Prior to joining HSC, Mr. Aronoff was a litigation partner at Foley & Lardner LLP. Mr. Aronoff has represented individual clients and businesses from various industries and backgrounds, on both the plaintiff and defense sides, in disputes touching on a broad array of claims and subject matters. He successfully has litigated cases involving contract issues, real estate, employment matters, securities law, torts, trade secrets and unfair competition, product liability, retail and apparel, e-commerce, and intellectual property. Mr. Aronoff has deep experience in all aspects of commercial litigation, including numerous trials and evidentiary hearings, and he has acted as lead counsel in arbitration proceedings and in matters pending in state and federal courts. He has been named as a Super Lawyer for the past five years.

Prevailing as lead defense counsel on behalf of leading apparel brand in arbitration before the AAA.
Defense of “corporate raiding” allegations on behalf of large insurance and financial services client.
Successful prosecution of securities fraud claims on behalf of former employee-shareholders of Fortune 500 corporation.
Defense of railroad operator in claims brought by a municipality alleging violations of state and local environmental and tax laws.
Pursued multi-billion-dollar accounting claims relating to acquisition in nuclear energy industry.
Well-rounded both in and out of the courtroom, Mr. Aronoff has also devoted considerable time and energy to animal welfare issues. He formerly served on the board of directors of Farm Sanctuary, a national non-profit organization dedicated to improving the conditions of animals on factory farms through education and advocacy. In June of 2012, Mr. Aronoff was appointed by New York City Mayor Bloomberg to serve on the board of directors of Animal Care Centers of NYC as one of its four independent board members, and in 2013, Mr. Aronoff accepted a “New York’s Kindest” award from ACC in recognition of the substantial pro bonoservices he provided to the organization through his prior law firm, Foley & Lardner LLP.
Mr. Aronoff holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Brown University, and a J.D. from the University of California Berkeley School of Law. He is admitted to the bar of the State of New York, and of the United States District Courts for the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of New York, and the United States Court of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits.
