Correy Kamin is an experienced New York commercial litigator with a focus on complex business and employment disputes. Correy represents individuals and corporations in federal and state courts, as well as in a wide range of alternative dispute forums, including arbitration and mediation. Correy’s unflappable disposition and composure reflect a pragmatic approach to litigation and negotiation. She thrives under pressure and serves as an aggressive advocate for her clients in the most high-stakes situations. Correy was named a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2017 and 2018.

Some of Correy’s recent successes include:

  • Obtaining a multi-million dollar settlement for investors in an outdoor sports and recreation company accused of violating federal securities laws.

  • Recovering nearly $4 million in service fees charged to Long Island homeowners on their home mortgages.

  • Successfully arguing against dismissal of wage and hour claims by home health aides working 24-hour shifts without receiving pay for overtime hours worked.

Correy previously worked with the Investor Protection Bureau of the New York State Attorney General where, as a member of the special Task Force investigating fraud in the RMBS market, Correy was part of a team that secured a $13 billion settlement with JPMorgan Chase & Co. on behalf of investors. Prior to joining Harris St. Laurent, Correy practiced at Wolf, Haldenstein, Adler, Freeman & Herz LLP, where she focused on class action litigation on behalf of plaintiffs in securities, employment, and consumer fraud matters.

Correy received her undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business in 2008. In 2011, she received her J.D. from Ohio State University.

Correy is admitted to the bars of the states of New York and New Jersey.
